Mr Platt has over 25 years experience in the diagnosis and treatment of skin cancers. He is a member of the skin cancer MDT in the Hull and East Yorkshire NHS Trust. Surgery and reconstruction with flaps or grafts is normaly carried out under a local anaesthetic.

Mole Removal

If you have a mole that you dislike for cosmetic reasons Mr Platt can remove this for you. In most instances this will involve swapping the mole for a scar. The quality of scars can vary greatly depending on many factors.

Cyst Removal

Pilar cysts on the scalp and sebaceous cysts on the face and body are very common and can be a nuisance. They can normally be excised under a local anaesthetic quite easily.

Lipoma Removal

Lipomas are benign fatty lumps that can occur under the skin. They can often be removed under a local anaesthetic.
